INTENDED USE

Rapid Rabies Ab Test Kit is a sandwich lateral flow immunochromatographic assay for the qualitative detection of Rabies antibody in dog’s blood.

PRINCIPLE

Rabies Ab Rapid Test Kit is based on sandwich lateral flow immunochromatographic assay. The test device has a testing window. The testing window has an invisible T (test) zone and C (control) zone. When sample is applied into the sample hole on the device, the liquid will laterally flow on the surface of the test strip. If there is enough Rabies antibodies in the sample, a visible T band will appear. The C band should always appear after a sample is applied, indicating a valid result. By this means, the device can accurately indicate the presence of Rabies antibodies in the sample.

STORAGE & SHELF LIFE

Store at 2-30°C, out of sun light and moisture.

Shelf Life: 24 months

TEST PROCEDURE

1. Collect 0.5-1ml blood, centrifuge at 3000r/min for 3-5min to separate serum. Or be static at 4℃ overnight, separate the serum naturally.  

2. Open the foil pouch and take out the EP tube. Use the micropipette to add 50ul serum into the EP tube. Then gently pipet up and down 5 times to let the serum completely mixed with reagents in bottom of EP tube.

3. Wait for 10minutes.

4. Add 2 drops buffer to EP tube, then use micropipette to completely pipet with the solution.

5. Add all the EP tube solution to the sample hole “S” of the device.

6. Interpret the result in 10-15 minutes. Result after 15 minutes is considered as invalid.

INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS

Positive: Two lines appear, no matter T line is clear or vague.

Negative: Only C line appears.

Invalid: No line appears or only T line appears.

PRECAUTIONS

1. Do not use expired test or the test with damaged foil pouch.

2. The test must be used within 1 hour after opening the foil pouch.

3.If the serum cannot be tested immediately, store at 4℃ for short time (in 48hours), store at below -20℃ for long-term storage.

4. The serum sample must be clarified and if any visible particles are present, centrifugation at 3,000 rpm for 20 minutes.

5. Adding too much samples will cause false positive and overdosing buffer can also lead to incorrect result.

6. Do not reuse the test kit and do not mix components from different lot numbers.

7. All specimens have potential infection. It must be strictly treated according to the rules by local states.

LIMITATION

Pawiser Rapid Rabies Ab Test kit is for in vitro veterinary diagnosis use only. All results should be considered with other clinical information available from veterinarian. For an accurate result, it is suggested to apply other method such as PCR for final determination in practice.
